I. SPIRITUAL LEADERS

I.3B: How do I know who God has sent me to serve and minister to? [Galatians 2:6-10]

A Story

Recently, David asked the question “Should I serve the poor?” There are so many needs. I also see all the college students that are without the message of the gospel. Should I go there? My fellow business partners show me every day the ethics that they need Christ in their lives. It is so confusing. Where should I invest my time? Where do I get guidance on this?  His coach showed him this passage from the Bible.

Digging Into The Bible

Galatians 1:7-10:

On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. 10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

Many times, when there are so many needs of people, who should we focus on? Where do we go? We hear about needs everywhere from China to Africa. What will help us make a good decision?
